Was looking into buying a cheap and convenient IEM, and came across Koss The Plug and Spark Plug. Since they are similarly priced, I was wondering if there a difference between the 2 (in terms of sound).

I've done some research and got pretty mixed comments about these plugs. Any inputs?

The only other IEM I owned was a Sony EX81, before the wire started to rot.

I've owned the Plug and it was awful. Very bloated bass and veiled mids. The highs were completely overwhelmed. I think that these are terrible phones and not at all worth buying.

no idea. anyone with sparkplug, comment?

btw I just bought the EP630. I feel its much better than Sony EX81.

Also a warning to all those buying Sony InEars, the cables may rot after a few months of usage (mine after 9mnths). Who will want to bring earphones with its wires exposed to the street? Not me. Money down the drain.

I don't have any experience with them, but I've read that the newer SparkPlug (white) sounds better than the older Plug (purple, blue). Although it's thought that this is due to the SparkPlug having a different kind of tip foam, allowing for a better fit.
