guypatrick
Hi folks. I am using ss v4 and would like to import wma files with drm attached for conversion to atrac and use on md. I have no problem with converting wma files but those with drm get a message about copyright protection. Is there a patch that will allow conversion to atrac and maintain drm? The Low Volta
perhaps there is a way to overcome the DRM and ppl that use WMA can tell you about this (I don't, so sorry)but to allow conversion AND maintain DRM is impossible... the whole idea of DRM is that you cannot convert/share/redistribute etc
guypatrick
Thanks for the reply. Maintaining the DRM would be nice but is not necessary as this is for personal use, not commercial. Any ideas would be appreciated.
danielbb90
I'm sorry thats what DRM's there to protect...Your best chance if you REALLY want to use the DRM WMA files on-the-go is to get a MP3 player that supports "Play for sure" subcriptions (look 4 this logo). Roamer
'DVD' John had written something in the past about WMA files, but MS might have updated their DRMs since.http://nanocrew.net/
bobt
Don't know if it will work, but can you write the files to an audio CD, and then simple burn it to MD, few more steps, but might work!!Bob
