Hatebreed
Hi there everyone New to the forums and 1st post. Been the proud owner of my little 'MZ-Nh600D' for over 2 years without a single problem. Until now....My 1gig disc, one album the songs always were cutting out and stopping, so when i got home i wiped the album off the disc...the disc loaded fine, and then went to put the album from my PC back on the MD again through sonicstage 2.o. Anyways it was transferring the songs...but it wouldnt complete the last few and just froze. Sonicstage froze solid. So i had no choice but to disconnect my MD while Sonicstage was still on.My MD locked up solid and wouldnt eject the disc or anything else until i plugged it back into the PC, for some reason it came around and acted normal again. NOW...heres the question....Do i take the chance of putting the disc back in my MD and trying to format it??? And if it does format the disc and i try to put songs on it again what if it freezes up??? I dont want to screw up my MD permanently and am very hesitant about using the old girl as a guinea pig cuase its working just fine now and i cant afford something else anyway.Anyone have and suggestions or help? Should i just chuck the disc and not risk it or is it possible to format the disc or?? Any help would be appreciated

Richard
I would try initializing the disc through Sonic Stage first then transferring a couple of tracks. Also make sure you use the stop button on the unit before ejecting the disc when it is connected to the PC or by using the Stop Hardware Safely icon in the system tray. You may also want to upgrade to version 4.0 at some point too.* Moved to Software Discussion
