guymrob
Hi,I'm going to purchase a Onkyo Hi-MD decks, what are difference in the two. There's a big price difference!
garcou
For 1OO additional euros you have: 1) nicer design 2) Theorically better electronic quality (you can see gold platted connectors...) 3) Pratically listening , sound slightly deeper and refined on high-end system. sefarad
Hello Garcou.I want to buy a 105fx by reduced size. I read you comment and I wonder if you made a sort of test of two models in order to probe the differences. No other comment I read about this question. It's very important to me in this moment.Thank you.
garcou
didn't make any ABX test with the two units (And no time to make it now)The two units sound very close to each other. The 133 is in my living room, the 105FX in my bedroom..Same connexions (exepted gold plated for 133)I think you will be happy with the 105FX

minidisc3
Do any of the Onkyo decks or even bookshelf systems support MP3 playback from Hi-MD?I mean MP3s transferred with Sonicstage to 2nd or 3rd generation Hi-MD portables. Thanks!Marco
Richard
As far as I'm aware none of the current Onkyo models support MP3 playback from Hi-MD discs, although I must confess I haven't tried it on mine. The X-N7UWX Hi-MD bookshelf supports bluetooth streaming from the PC - I'm not sure if this includes MP3's.
