Hi everybody. Last night i saw a pic of a sony md player that I would like information on. It is very thin, orange in color, metallic body. On the bottom of the player it says walkman and has the squiggle symbol that sony has been using on their mp3 players. I don't know if it has recording functions but I doubt it it looks so thin and no buttons can be seen. Can someone help me there can't be many orange colored models.

Thanks

just browse through this subforum... look for all the models with an 'E' or 'D' in the name (as these are the slim player and downloader only models)... there won't be an orange one, but you probably can recognize the model from the good pics in there

otherwise you could try minidisc.org equipment browser

Also there is no screen and the walkman name and symbol are at the very front/bottom of the unit

and no buttons can be seen.

Sounds like a Sony player-only model, and not a downloader, to me. Nearly all of their players have their buttons hidden on the side and/or the back of the unit and no screens. The only downloader that I can think of that doesn't have buttons or a screen on the front is the NH3D. The EH1 only came in black or silver. The ones with N (for NetMD, I believe) are downloaders.

A list of Sonys: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Players_Sony.html. A lot of the Sony (and other brands') players are pretty thin. My E720 is the same thinness as my EH1 (except where the E720 bulges a little at the end to accomodate the NiMH battery).

Good luck.
