unignal
Just curious as to how many are actually storing computer files on Hi-MDs, and for what purpose?Personally I use it to backup all my programming and web authoring source codes and designs. Its slow, but more reliable than CDs, harddrives and thumbdrives. What about you?
Skradgee
I'll throw some school papers on a disc here and there, and I have one disc with a bunch of tools and junk that I use at work, but that's the only data stuff I use Hi-MD for...unless I'm making some sort of weird compilation. I've got this 1GB disc I made for Phish's Coventry concert that's pretty cool. I'm not a huge Phish fan, but I worked at that concert so the disc has a bunch of photos and the soundboard recording w/ soundcheck, and scans of flyers that were passed out. Lots of memories stored on one small disc.

pata2001
I wanted to, but the USB1.1 speed makes it useless. Too expensive for archival, too slow for quick backup.

jaylen
It's a nice function to have, but I've never used it. For me, MD for music; USB stick for data. When I'm on the go, I need to go fast, small, and without an extra cable.
