Sparda
You know those 2 files on your md that you aren't supposed to delete when viewed via windows explorer, what if you delete it by accident? Do you like just format your disc and it will make those files again? i think sony should just hide them like they do with the tracks on the md. raintheory
Yes, the recorder will re-create those files if you reformat the disc.
WaywardTraveller
Yes, the recorder will re-create those files if you reformat the disc.Yeah...but I just delete those files (and everything else) if I know I'll be using the disc as data-only...the only problem is that I don't think you'd be able to get a file listing on an RH10/RH910 (but can't remember for sure).peaceWaywardTraveller
Sparda
Like i said, i really don't understand the purpose of showing the files if they are that important to proper playback operation. Just curious, are those the TOC files? Then that would make more sense to show it.

BobS
Those files have the "HIDDEN" and "READ ONLY" attributes set. If you can see them you must have explorer set to show hidden files. If you format an standard disc you will see only 1 file, a HiMD disc will show both. Since they are 0 bytes I doubt they are anything more that just to let the MD unit know the disc is in HiMD format and weather it is a standard or HiMD disc.
