coop2332
I am currently looking for a fairly cheap MD recorder/player that can do the LP4 mode. I need it to get the last out of my old MD player (n505) that will no longer record. I removed the little magnetic head so im hoping it wont erase discs (hasnt done it to my last recorded disc yet). So anyway, theyre availble on ebay for around $40. Anyone got a simple, unneeded MD recorder that they'd be willing to part with? ThanksEDIT: you can email me at cooperhouse2002'AT'yahoo.com, post here, or AIM me at coop355 Edited November 29, 2006 by coop2332
mdmania
Have you check your local pawn shop? I know that pawn shop have them in my local area. You could also negotiate with them that way as well. Good luck!!!
jankem2
If you removed the little magnetic head your md's can get erased, because the magnteic head is only writing the data, but the Laser brings the Md on 200° Temperatur, and if the md has this temperatur all data gets lost.So if you press record and you have no magnetic head your data will get erased, but you can't write new Data!!! PeteIf coop2332 isn't interested in that N505 I might be. I have one myself and I might get it just to have the spare parts. I still like to listen to music on mine because of the bass settings. I think the old system works better than the EQ on the HIMD stuff. Plus with a battery box I can use it as another recorder to stick in someone's pocket with a lav attached to it when I'm recording video events for my business. I'll wait to see if coop2332 wants it first.
