boojum
OK, finally found a way to upload the files. They are MZ-RH1 PCM > WAV > FLAC level 5. ReplayGain was added to the FLAC files as these were recorded at 15/30. Next time 17/30. Mic input was set to low. The mic was on a table in its small stand. Next time I will lug a real mic stand and get higher up and away from the crowd noise.I hope folk-rockers enjoy this session. Any helpful hints on how to improve my recording technique is welcome. This is my first shot at a large live event.OK, got a torrent uploaded to etree. I have checked the D/L and it works. A few other folks are D/L'ing right now. The equipment was up to the task but the audio is not all that good due to me not having a mic stand to get the mic higher and above the crowd noise, and there was plenty of that. Let me know what you think and any hints you might have for making it a better recording. Thanks, all, for your help right from the start. I would still be fumbling around and lost without the help of A440 and other knowledgeable and kind folks on this board.Ciao4now http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=503414 Edited January 17, 2007 by boojum
greenmachine
Having the files here on my HD does not seem to suffice. The archive does not work like bittorrent or other file sharing apps, you will have to upload (all of) the files to their centralized servers (once) and they will distribute them from there. When I make a torrent with TorretSpy I get a message that the attempt to access has "frelled" and did not work. Frelled??!! Was bedeudet "frelled"?? With etree I can get the torrent made in BitTorrent or uTorrent no problem but then it does not connect to etree. I think it is a bad "announce" address, but am not sure. Schade aber Ich warte. Technical quality of the first show, FMR, is best and it deteriorates from there due to crowd noise, etc.Links to the shows:First is Freak Mountain Ramblers, then Michael Hurley and finally Holy Modal Rounders:http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=503436http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=503424http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=503425Ciao4now cool.gif Edited January 26, 2007 by boojum
