cyfunger
Hi all,I am a newbie here. I had bought a MZ-RH1 Europe Version (black in color) and I had accidentally change the settings in the service mode. My problem is that I dont know what values had been altered and how to restore it back to the normal state.Could anyone help?A million thanks.Queen Queen
Sparda
What is the sequence for service mode on the RH1? Post it here and I'll see what I can do.
cyfunger
What is the sequence for service mode on the RH1? Post it here and I'll see what I can do.Oh, thanks. However, my problem is that there are a lot of sub menu under the service menu (and many options, too). So I really dont know where to start with. That is why I am looking for an option that can reset the machine to its default settings. Is there such an magic key? Or could I refresh the firmware fo the machine? Apparently, there is no firmware available for the MZ-RH1. At least I can find it on the Sony offical website.Could anyone help?Regards,Queen Queen
Sparda
No sadly there is no magic key or option, you have to set each hex to the proper number. The sequence I talk about is the sequence used to get into service mode in the first place. For first gen the sequence is here, which I haven't tried with my RH1 and shouldn't work anyways. Don't tell me you were mashing buttons and got into service mode by accident?

WaywardTraveller
oops, yes.I access the service mode accidentally, and there are some keys being pressed.Wow...I didn't think such a thing was really possible. However, the service-mode codes for the RH1 would be a welcome bit of information indeed!peaceWaywardTraveller
The Low Volta
a search would have shown that the sequence is up on MDCF already (check this thread)and even though I do believe you didn't intend to change anything, I really don't think you 'accidentally' completed the entire sequence without faults this thread is again a great example why you really shouldn't mess around with service mode unless you know what you're doing
