Wondering about the best way to edit tracks?

Ok, last question for the day.

I was hoping there was a way to edit tracks in SonicStage, but it doesn't look like there is. I'm doing most of my recording in PCM format.

So am I going to have to convert to WAV and edit with a "third party" software?

I just want to take out some time in the beginnings, between tracks, that kind of thing.

I'm not totally familiar with what PCM is, I realize it's the highest quality format, then the ATRAC3plus.... but I have no idea what that is either.

So I'm wondering if there is a program that lets you edit tracks as they are, vs. having to convert first.

I'm getting the hang of SonicStage, but it has been feeling like it's rather limiting... maybe I just don't know how to use it.

PCM ..IS WAV , AUDACITY will be the editor (Free) Install the LAME encoder with it , you can canvert to mp3 or Download "Switch" from NCH audio (Also Free)
