MDX-400
Just wondering if the silicone slip-on skins for the NW-HD3 are worth getting. I'm sure people here have seen them (they are all over eBay). Has anyone used one/does anyone have one?Thinking about getting one but thought I'd ask here first

0 jaeson2953
I got mine (misty white) from eBay last December, so far I'm happy with it.Fitting is pretty good although cut-out openings are not so clean in a few locations. As advertised, you have full access to all functions. What I like the most about it is no-slip grip in addition to surface protection. Convenient for use in a car or outdoors.I think it's a good buy. Just make sure you don't pay too much for it (after all, it's just a piece of silicone).
0 jof
not sure about HD, but got one for my A3000 and it is awesom - love the look, and protection. Only problem is the CUT OUT for the charger input on the play is TOO SMALL - so I had to doctor it myself. Might not be an issue with HD tho...it is also non-slip so sits on the dash in the car very safely.
0 MDX-400
Alright well I guess I'm going to get one. The only thing I can't decide on is what colour to get...Seems auctions for HD5 and A series units come with all of the colours for one low price, but no such luck with the HD3 They're like $10 US each, with shipping at the lowest, it seems...So I'm trying to decide whether to get white or pink... My HD3 is pink but I'm wondering which silicone will look better...Does anyone have the white? Does it let the colour fromt the unit come through or is it more opaque? I'd like to get the white if the pink will show through it, 'cause I'm thinking the pink will either be too bold or not the same kind of pink as the unit...I guess I'm putting too much thought into this, LOL... I don't get why you can get all of them for the other units but not the HD3
0 MDX-400
Well I ordered the pink one and it came in the mail recently... Must say it is a perfect fit, it even has a thinner section on it to allow for the HD3s USB/power adapter thingy. It's quite nice and the pink skin on the pink unit looks good... I didn't realise the silicone skins were actually so thin--I guess that is why they are called skins, lol... It's a pretty much perfect fit and offers great surface protection Now all I need is a screen protector thingy...My only "complaint" is the lanyard/handstrap things that came with mine. There are two sizes which is nice, only the wriststrap size is waaay too small to fit around my hand (and I have pretty small hands as it is); the second size is about 3x that size, so it is more like a neckstrap only I don't know who would want to try to carry around an HDD player on their neck! Sure the HD3 is small, but it isn't exactly light; plus I don't think having it dangling around your neck while playing is the best idea either.Anyway, all in all definitely worth the ~$12 CDN. paid for it (incl. shipping).
