Heman
Just wondering, is there a firmware for Taiwan Vaio? Because some common Chinese words displayed with ? instead. Have tried latest 3.0.0.C171J and F versions, didn't fix. Please advise. Sticker states that my Vaio is made in Japan during Feb 2005
0 Richard
If I remember correctly (although maybe Ishii or another Vaio pocket user can put me right) I thought I read that the Vaio pocket could only display Chinese characters that also exist as Japanese Kanji. I don't think there was a specific firmware for the Chinese language. Edited February 11, 2006 by richyhu
0 Ishiyoshi
Yes, indeed. Richard is quite right. The VAIO Pocket will only display Chinese characters as long as it's available within the Japanese Kanji library. Unfortunately, Chinese firmware for this unit does not exist.
