coldfusionPaul
ss (4.3) *always* seems to default to drive F: for the ATRAC audio device (walkman nw-s205f). my w/s is setup w/drive F: pointing at my server so ss can only see the CD drives when i want to transfer files to the walkman. i tried simply changing the walkman's drive letter to A/B (who uses floppies these days) but no joy. i have to disconnect my network drive in order to xfer files. is there anyway to have ss point at another drive letter for the walkman?thanks. Avrin
Try setting the letter to something like G or further down the alphabet. Edited May 17, 2007 by Avrin
Richard
SS just picks up the first available drive letter for any attached USB devices. You can't really force it to use one letter over another. 9 times out of ten it'll always use the same letter unless you connect another device first. I would do as Avrin says and remap your network drive to something like Z: or X:For future inquiries relating to non-md devices please refer to our sister forum AtracLife. Cheers. raintheory
Start/Run: diskmgmt.mscRight-click on the current drive letter and choose "Change drive letter and paths", choose whichever you like.
