SonicStage problem - "Updating Database Error"

hi,

i just bought a sony walkman nw A805. and when i try to open sonicstage it saids "update sonicstage database" and the update never starts. and the same thing every time i try to run sonicstage.

can somebody please help me?

i try this mdac repair tool. nothing happen. still the same problem.

Yes you can try this:

I would try downloading and (re)-installing (making sure SS is not open during the install):

1/ MDAC 2.8 SP1 - from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

2/ Jet 4.0 SP8 from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en if you are using Windows XP or from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en if you are on Windows 2000.

Then re-booting.

still no change. the same problem is still there. i did everything you said but nothing happen.

Hi,

In case you're still around, try this: launch SS, discard the error message and wait for the application to shut down, then launch SS again. After a few tries, SonicStage might launch properly.

I had the same problem and tried the same solutions. Now, every time I want to launch SS, I have to try a couple of times before it does so.

If it still doesn't work, send Sony some anthrax.
