MilenX Posted June 12, 2007 Report Share Posted June 12, 2007 Hi folks!Just received my new MZ-RH1 and while getting familiar with the machine I noticed a difference to my old MZ-N10 which is confusing me and I still couldn´t find the solution in the manual or on the device itself:The MZ-N10 you went through "Option - Rec-Posi" and you could determine whether to record "FROM HERE" or "FROM END". Then there was a button for END SEARCH, which was quite useful.What is the default recording policy of the MZ-RH1? From the actual position or always from the END? And how do you change this item? There is not a single word about that in the Manual...I will highly appreciate any answer or hint on the subject from people who have more experience with the MZ-RH1! There is not a single word about that in the Manual...The option to record "From Here" or "From End" no longer exists, and IMHO a good job too, as I lost several valuable recordings through forgetting to select the correct settings. It always records from the end of your current recording.There is no "End Search" button any more. I used to find this quite useful for accessing the end of a recording. However you can achieve the same result as follows:With the RH1 not playing hold down FF. It will run through the track numbers and display "End".Press "Play". The display again shows "End"Hold down "Rewind", and it will rewind from the end of the last track until you want to stop it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Avrin Posted June 13, 2007 Report Share Posted June 13, 2007 Well, actually the RH1 starts recording from the first available empty space. After the space ends, it moves to the next available empty space, etc. But it never overwrites any existing recording - it simply moves its laser to where there is empty space.
