Selco
Hi I have just purchased a new hi-fi installation and the cables are from Van den Hul. So I was looking on the internet to see what else thy have. Well I found this one: http://www.vandenhul.com/cable/optocplr.htmI have a md-deck (MDS-JE780) and record the music to the md on lp4 format via the standard optical cable. Now is may question: would I here any difference in the quality when I would use the MKII ore not?

BobS
You will not hear any difference. Optical cables transmit data, that is what digital audio is, data. As long as you do not get dropouts their will be no audible difference. It is just a bunch of numbers.
Strungup
There was a Time , long before lasers , and optical , and finite differences of opinion , a time when we just simply enjoyed the sound ,http://www.stevenjohnson.com/ Klik this for a trip back to that time . Things handmade , and beautiful . A VERY Analouge time
BobS
Yes, very true. Seems many today listen to the technology rather than the performance. A great performance on an LP is better than a mediocre one on DVD-A
