raintheory
So I've had an older MZ-E900 for some time, I love to death even though it's a player-only unit. Really small and nice - no display, barely bigger than the disc itself... But here's the catch: When I use it with the supplied remote (RM-MC11EL) it has the System Beep. I can't get it to turn off and its almost always about 350% louder than anything I'm listening to. Quite frustrating. Doesn't beep without the remote.. but like I said theres no display on the unit itself. The option doesn't seem to be in the menus to turn it off. Anyone know enough about this unit's service mode to help me silence it? Or any other ideas? Edited August 7, 2007 by raintheory
Richard
I just dug out my E900 to check this out. There's definitely no option in the menu on mine either to disable the beep (only the M-Timer Alarm and Disc Memory). I had a look at the service manual and it doesn't mention it in there either. A shame as it is quite annoying - especially when you put a disc on pause! Anyone else?
