Using MD clen disc on a car unit (is it posisble ?)

Hi guys :-)

I bought the MDX-F5800 unit from ebay few months ago, it sounds great!

As a regular mantenance of my units i wold like to know if I can use my regular Md disc cleaner (sony disc) to clean the laser.

Anobody have used it on a car units?

it should work on any md unit.

You should only use these cleaners sparingly though. An MD lens only needs cleaning in exceptional circumstances, not after a few hours normal use, unlike a tape head. Much better to keep the player and discs as dust-free as possible.

I've read that these cleaners should not be used at all. The oldest unit I have is my G750. had it for 5 years before it stopped working and not once did I ever use a cleaner disc. On rare occasions I used a small blast from compressed air cans (held at a good distance) to blow dust build up away.
