raintheory
By "3 Speeds" I assume you mean LP2, LP4, and SP "Compatibility" Modes?I don't think that model is MDLP, so LP2/LP4 won't work regardless. SP "Compatibility" mode should work though... What version of SonicStage are you using? If your portable has a line or mic input, try recording a test track in realtime using the portable itself in SP mode and see if that works. THIS SUCKS
you apparently did not transfer the files as sp. in the transfer window click the tool box and choose transfer as sp and then try it again.
raintheory
If you try to play a disc recorded in LP2/LP4 in a non-MDLP player, the unit will display "LP: (track title)". Try what A WHOLE LOT states and be sure to set your transfer as "SP Compatibility Mode".

triflesterms
I transfered it in sp in sonic & i thought that would do it, but i didnt think i would have to change setting on md player, i tried a live line in in sp & that did the trick, i would of thought even older md players would have at least 2 speeds? Is it better sound quality to record live or transfer with sonic? KJ_Palmer
Live recording to SP (in real-time) would give far better quality. Sonicstage can only deliver LP2 quality at best to standard MD's (even 'SP' is the reduced LP2 quality - padded out to make it work in SP players).
