Hi

Ive just transfered some tracks using net md in sonic on to some mds, they play in recorder but not in my car, the mini discs i got with my new car play ok in the car, ive tried new discs at all 3 speeds with no luck, i can see text & see they are playing, but zilch as far as sound goes???

Hope someone can help?

thanks

Ps car player is sony MDX C 5970

By "3 Speeds" I assume you mean LP2, LP4, and SP "Compatibility" Modes?

I don't think that model is MDLP, so LP2/LP4 won't work regardless. SP "Compatibility" mode should work though...

What version of SonicStage are you using?

If your portable has a line or mic input, try recording a test track in realtime using the portable itself in SP mode and see if that works.

Im not sure if my car player has 3 speeds or not, though i did spot lp on the display one time by pressing a few buttons, but havent been able to get back on since, im using sonic 4.3, i already tried recording in real time though not sure if i did it in sp mode, though i did with sonic

I think the Car plaers only play SP mode , and then that Has to be from an MD recorder not the computer I have a freind here in Japan that has MD in the Car , but I have to be carefull about what discs I give him.

I transfered it in sp in sonic & i thought that would do it, but i didnt think i would have to change setting on md player, i tried a live line in in sp & that did the trick, i would of thought even older md players would have at least 2 speeds?

Is it better sound quality to record live or transfer with sonic?
