Problem with my e505

Question

My e505 player will just randomly, during the middle of a song, cut off and bring me back to the first song on my player. This happened rarely at first, but now it it occurs much more often. It only really happens when I leave the house though, when I hook it up to my speakers at home it never really happens o__o; Does anyone know how to fix this?

I got my e505 for Christmas, and I think my brother bought it only a couple weeks earlier. I didn't touch any of the settings and this only started to happen two weeks ago, and I experienced no problems with it for about a month. I don't think I touched the shuttle beacuse this will happen whether or not I'm listening to song 200 or 5. Plus, If I'm listening to it and the song cuts off, it will go to the volume setting 25, even if I'm on the volume 9 before my track gets cut off. I might just go and exchange it ;_;

Do you think if I erase everything off of it and press the reset button and then reload everything again, will it solve this problem?

I'm close to just keeping my mp3 player because I noticed that this problem only started to happen when outside it was in the 20s or under and I went outside with the e505 in my coat pocket(open). The couple of days it was the high 30s I had no problems and today, in the low 40s, I had no problem. And indoors my e505 never just turns off. Should I still exchange it even though its starting to warm up again? I did call Sony support and they told me I could exchange it since my warranty is still valid, I didnt tell them though that this only occured in really cold weather. Otherwise its a perfectly functioning mp3 player. And I'm not exactly looking forward to a month without an mp3 player and getting a refurbished copy after the wait -_-;

Crsytal I don`t think temperature will have that adverse affect on the player .Sony Say`s player can be operated in Temp 5-35 Centigrade .Also Temperature can only effect battery life not player .If have Used my Player outside when the temp was 3 Centi ..
