RedemptioN419
Sonic Stage 3.4 is just taking up too much CPU speed and RAM in my computer. Is there another program that I can use to play ATRAC files instead of SS 3.4?

RedemptioN419
This might be some sort of confusing, but it runs pretty crappy at my computer:2.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4512 MB DDR SDRAMIt usually never happens. But now that I had to restore factory settings due to certain problems, its not running smoothly, only when Sonic Stage and Mozilla Firefox is on. When they each run separatly, it goes pretty smooth.Appreciate the help, Stuge.
pata2001
Sonic Stage 3.4 is just taking up too much CPU speed and RAM in my computer. Is there another program that I can use to play ATRAC files instead of SS 3.4?Are you sure that it is SS that takes the RAM? Look at your system tray, and how many programs/icons in there. Many manufactures install a lot of juck on new PCs, so even if you "restore" your system to its original state, it's not helping much.1. Scan your PC for virus, spyware, etc.2. Stop programs from starting up automatically or stay in memory when you don't need them. Check each programs' settings.3. Last resort, assuming you have an actual Windows installation CD (not restore CD/DVD), you can do a clean install of windows from scratch. RedemptioN419
I guess its not Sonic Stage. I scanned, and I didn't remove anything harmful. No programs should be starting. When I checked the processes, 'Omgjbox.exe' is only like taking 10 MB of the memory, and around the 40 mark in CPU.I'll investigate this further. Thanks for the help though. RedemptioN419
I tried Disk Defragmentor, and it helped a little. Though I still notice a difference in PC performance when SS is on, and when its not. Thanks for the codecs though.

If so what partition sizes have you set up ?- are there alot of programs running in the taskbar (/background) ? If your computer was running before and now it is not, something obviously happened. I doubt it has anything to do with SS or FF.
RedemptioN419
I don't have any more problems, maybe bacause I freed a lot of space and defragmented my drive.-HD size is 60GB-I don't know what you mean by parttioned-not a lot of programs running on my task bar. You should seriously consider partitioning your drive. It keeps your computer organized and effecient. Dividing(partitioning) your drive splits your HD into sections that allow your computer to access the data faster. For example, your waiting in line at the check out and you left to get another item. If you didn't partition your drive, when you get back in line you have to start again at the end. If you have your drive partitioned and you leave the line, you can get back to where you were in place before. (sorry that may be a poor example, but hopefully you get it).If you don't partition you can have data on the end of the HD and to access that from the beggining of the HD takes up time and CPU usage.I recently got a 120gb and partitioned it up into different partitions to make it more effecient.Anyway its only a suggestion.
