Hi all, I know the remote on an E10 is a special one...so I was wondering, can you plug your 'phones directly into the player ? or are you stuck with the remote ?

so far I prefer to use the controlls on my players and not the remotes even though I loose acces to several adjustmants / functions.

last post I made about this unit was about the possibility of changing the battery. as far as I can tellit was only able to be changed (officially) by a service center...has anyone here sucessfully done it yet ? I finally snagged one. I shure hope the battery has some life in it !

thanks ! :thank_you2:

Actually yes there are people who changed the battery , there is an article on the forums somewhere, I have read it some months ago .

I agree, rediculous indeed. I have it now and I remember from my initial searchings this unit has the short headphone adapter w/o the remote if you prefer.

it works well w/o the remote but since there's no display, if it stops working you'll need to hook up the remote to see the 'read error' or 'disc error' messages.

it's cool but I do feel it'd be a much nicer unit with a stainless steel stamped case rather than the cast magnisium. the added weight woule be fine for the stringth you'd gain. for me anyway.

it's so thin you can torque the whole case with very little effort. the sides of the case on mine are pushed in about 1/32" and there's a dent in the back. itseems to play well, but I haven't tested the runtime on the battery.
