SocDoc
In the past I've used an XLR-to-Mini cable to connect a Sennheiser K6/ME66to a Sony MZ-M100 minidisc recorder. I had no problems. Today I got my ownK6/ME66 and used the same cable as before to connect my gear. What I getis a weak left signal. The right is about 3-times as strong. I thought itmight be the cable so I brought it in and tested it out in a local GuitarCenter. It seemed to replicate the problem on their equipment as well (evenwith a different mic). So, I bought a new cable. However, when I connect everything up at home it does the exact same thing (weakleft) as the old cable. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on?Solutions?Cheers for your time...
Strungup
sounds like its not wired properly , a true XLR to mini , will have pin 2 of the XLR going to both the Tip and Ring of the mini, and pins 1-3 will be ground . what you have is XLR to Balanced TRS mini , so left is out of phase , hard to understand why it worked in the first place ?!?!?!?
