fusioncell
Hey everyone, I dug out my old Sharp MD-SR60 (due to sony getting dropped out of a moving car's window) and I started to record and it did that fine although it used 1 AA battery to record one minidisc, which seemed like alot. I then put a new battery in and went out and started listening, I got 2 tracks out of it before it ran out of battery. Im using duracells and it was on hold, not on full volume or anything. Does this mean my 'new' old MD player is broke or can this be fixed?ThanksUpdate: ok so Ive just got through 14 tracks without it cutting out....It seems to be getting better but thats still not very long. any ideas? THIS SUCKS
see if there is dirt or corrosion on the battery termnials. you can clean them with a pencil eraser. just make sure the pieces that fall off the eraser head dont fall into the unit. Syrius
WAIT...That happened to my old SR60 as well. And that was because the head was misaligned. I managed to get into service mode and force it to auto align the reading head. Unfortunately, that was over four years ago, and the link that explained what did what is gone from the net.
