unlabelled
I've lost the recharging cradle for my Sony Mini-Disc (MZ-N710). Is there any way to recharge the battery without it? (I've still got the plug and lead which converts AC to 3v DC) Thanks - Mick
bland10000
You can use a wall charger, the bc-7ht is a world-voltage wall charger (100 to 240V) and the bc-9hm is a japan (100V) wall charger. bland10000
Just remembered that there is another charger from a different manufacturer, the GP recharger. It costs much less than what online retailers are charging for the Sony brand recharger.
unlabelled
Thanks for these ideas - I'll check them out. (I did try going to the sony shop, but they wanted £45 for a replacement cradle! The guy said they would have to import it from the USA. In other words - get lost. I've had it with Sony now. They bring something out, then five years later, if the smallest thing goes wrong with it... you're on your own. I suppose you're supposed to chuck it in the bin and buy their latest product instead. They must think we're stupid.) Anyway, thanks again for your help.
unlabelled
SOLUTION. Turns out that if you let the battery run down to empty, THEN connect it to the mains supply (as if you were going to play a disc using the mains and 3V adaptor) THEN press 'stop'... it automatically starts to recharge the battery. So, UP YOURS SONY, you rip-off merchants!
