roofrabbit
I have a Sony MZ-RH1 minidisc recorder. My local public library subscribes to Netlibrary, a free option to download eAudiobooks to listen to. The Nelibrary is explained at http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library/dbsRe...pany/netlib.htm and as far as I can understand the audio books arrives as a WMA file. The web site says that an mp3 player is needed to access the audiobooks, but iPod and Zune are not acceptable. A list of requirements for an mp3 player are shown at a different web site: http://support.oclc.org/resolutions/testedplayers.pdf There is a way of testing to see if an mp3 player satisfies the requirements listed on the latter site. Can anyone advise me whether the Sony MZ-RH1 recorder can play these downloads? If so, what needs to be done to transfer the Netlibrary WMA file from computer to minidisc recorder?

You would need a program like Switch to convert the WMA to MP3 first , then you can play them on the RH1 Or you can record them onto the RH1 from the Line out of the Computer , to the Line in of the RH1 , more time consuming , but better quality and guaranteed compatibilityhttp://www.nch.com.au/switch/
Syrius
Sonicstage will accept WMA files and convert them to ATRAC, as long as there is no DRM on the original files.
