Justin42
I was just curious, with Microsoft releasing Windows XP Service Pack 3 last week, if anyone's upgraded and tried it out-- it seems like every Service Pack brings its own set of problems (and solutions) so before I took the plunge I was wondering if anyone had any experiences to share...(I'm most curious if SonicStage 4.2 will still work properly, as there have been some issues I've read about MDAC compatibility in SP3 and we all know how much SonicStage flips out if MDAC is even slightly non-standard)
raintheory
I've had no problems with it.Only uploaded stuff from MD>PC though, haven't tested the PC>MD route.
Hungerdunger
OK here too. (in both directions)In any case, if you've been getting your automatic updates regularly, you've probably got most of Service Pack 3 already - Microsoft say there are no major changes. A440
Not a SonicStage problem, but if you have an AMD processor SP3 is not good. For instance: http://www.crn.com/software/207800165
carlesraf
I updated my system one week ago to SP3 of Windows xp pro, and no problems have been detected with sonic stage ver 4.3 and even with MD simple burner.I have and AMD processor, and Athlonxp at 1,77 HZ
Russell Letson
Another data point: no problems (so far) with SP3 on an MSI-6570/Athlon XP/nVidia nForce2/Phoenix BIOS/Win XP Home system. Just transferred some tracks via SS 4.2 in "NetMD" mode and converted to WAV. All normal, no glitches.
