ASM1
Hi I'm thinking of transferring some of my Vinyl on to minidisc. I have an MZ RH-1, and the appropriate connectors to hook it up to my amplifier. I will be using 1GB discs, and may, if necesary transfer the music to PC for "tidying up" although I probably won't need to do this very much as I've had a listen and the vinyl seems very clean. Which recording mode should I use ?any other advice appreciated.Andrew
greenmachine
Alternatively you could use the line-in of your soundcard, clean it up if necessary and then transfer to MD.
bobt
Try one song you are familiar with on different bitrates, get some good phones, play back on random, and see if you can tell the difference,Bob
culp4684
Best = PCM = 90 minutes on a 1GB Hi-MD MiniDiscVery good quality = Hi-SP = close to 8 hours on a 1GB Hi-MD MiniDisc or 2 hours and 40 minutes on a standard "80 minutes" MiniDisc.Isn't it 2 hours and 20 minutes (140 total) at Hi-SP on a standard "80 minute" disc?
