pfleming
Hi,I'm using a Sony MD Walkman MZ-NH700 minidisc recorder to record messages from my church.Sometimes having transferred the .omg file from the minidisc to Sonic Stage (version 4.3), I have found, having right clicked the file name and clicked save in WAV format, that I get an error report:-One or more tracks cannot be saved in WAV format.Cannot save in WAV format. It is strange because sometimes it happens with a new recording and sometimes it doesn't.Can someone advice me how I can get the .omg file to save as a .wav or .mp3 so I can put it on-line.I have a 63 minute file at the moment where I got the above error message. Thanks,Peter Fleming
sfbp
Check SS and see where the .WAV files are kept. 63 minutes is at least 500 MB maybe more like 600. If the default configuration is to put the .WAV files to some device or partition that doesn't have this much space, you might just have a problem. Look under 'Tools->Options->Location to save imported files'.It's also possible you need to defrag though I would be surprised. Something is stopping the transfer. The other (more disturbing) possibility is that you have errors on your disk that happen to get hit when you create the large file needed. Better back up soon. pfleming
Hi Stephen, Thanks for your message. sfbp
Right there in the picture is the evidence.... "free 407.2 MB"You ran out of space. Just as I said. Time to clean up your disk and delete some stuff. The WAV file will be about 500-600 MBGood Luck!
pfleming
Hi Stephen, Thanks for your assistance.I have deleted a few things and the wav conversion worked.Regards,Peter
A440
Once you have uploaded the file you can also use Hi-MD Renderer to save it as an mp3 instead of converting to .wav. It will save a lot of space.http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=20395
