kino170878
I have some minidiscs with albums copied over in mono to save space (i.e. the left and right channels both contain the same information).I was wondering if there are any hi-fi units or portable units that during playback allow you to independently change the bass or treble on each side, thereby creating the illusion of stereo? Alternatively I could of course connect the left and right outputs to two separate inputs on an 8 channel mixer and do it from there, but I would prefer to do everything from one piece of equipment if possible. Bam Stereo tracks It is called "Phase Variance" Or take the Mono Track , and apply a Stereo reverb or JUST a HINT of stereo chorus with the Chorus rate set to as Low as it can go and then increase the Depth to a level that satisfies you . greenmachine
Independent channel equalizing won't create a very convincing illusion of stereo, it will just make the sound weird. Try working with delay based effects like Guitarfxr suggested if the material allows for it.
raintheory
one thing i have done is add a minuscule amount of silence at the beginning of one of the channels, pushing the entire thing forward... similar a bit to what guitarfxer mentioned, bit in only shifts the one track forward completely by a small small amount.
