HEARDATBEAT Posted October 7, 2008 Report Share Posted October 7, 2008 Well I saw kardon's pictorial of the Sony EH1 and I absolutely love it. so I hit the net looking for any place to buy it but no luck and not just this unit but every unit. The only one i can seem to find is the MZ-NH600d which I have and the RH1 which for some reason i don't like. So I wanted to know if there is anyone or anyplace where i can find this unit cause I really want to update cause i've had the 600D forever and i feel i need to upgrade. But the 600 is a perfectly good unit and I or others here can point you in the direction of one. A second hand HiMD unit will set you back $100+ these days, a good HiMD (the NH1 is everyone's favourite) $200 or more.Where are you located?StephenI don't like the battery life, to me that's a deal breaker but I was reading the EH1 capabilities and it's battery life is a little better than the RH1, and now you are telling me that the lifespan is limited so that's one more reason I don't like the RH1. I kinda had an idea that i might not be able to get the EH1 new so if I can find one that in good condition I will purchase it. Plus I like that little woosh design it has on the cover and the remote RM-MC40ELK. And for location I am located in Washington, United States. However someone is remaindering the DN430 (NetMD, from about 2005, you won't even find it on the equipment browser here) and you can probably pick one up in an ebay auction for $20.If you want/need HiMD, most people including me swear by the 700/800/900 series (be sure the name has an H in it, or you get the pre-HiMD units only).
