hhzf6225906
I'm a chinese sony's fan and have to face the dilemma of buying the sony MZ-RH1 or waiting the X1000 series in these day. I currently own sony A800(Asia version), CD plyer NE20, but I want to pursue more better sound to satify my ear. I'm very interesting in SONY MZ-RH1 and addicted to its cool appearance so deeply, more than that, this is the only model of Sony'MD I can purchase in china. however, sony X1000 series to be released soon places me in a dilemma because it will apply some new sound technologies such as Hi-stereo,vpt,DESS,especially the S-MASTER and feature the best sound equating to CD.In china, the commend or evaluation about X1000 is so rare and almost no one get it, so I decide to look for hope in this forum. how do i make this choice? RH1 or X1000?I want to end up with really best sound in the end with CD quality. My music source is both on CD ,MP3 and Atrac3plus right nowI need to know some thing as follow: 1. Between the Sony MZ-RH1 and the latest X1000 to be released which is the better unit sound wise and why?2. How does the sound of a pair of sony earphone EX90SL & Sony MZ-RH1 MD compare to the Sony NWZ-X1000?3, Can the sound of X1000 come up to NE20? or RH1? I crrently feel uncertain about X1000's so-called "S-Master" and pay more attention to its sonud quality?4, How can I do for x1000(Asia version)to support the sony's atrac on SONICSTAGE 4.3 (chinese verion)?5, How is the BASS of the RH1 with my EX90 and whose sound is more better between RH1 and X1000 when they both match EX90? I look forward to your best honest opinions, thank your very much for any help!! ---- A boy from china Edited May 25, 2009 by air
Sony_Fan
Is the Sony X1000 have a touchscreen? Here in the U.S., Sony's new touchscreen MP3 player will be relased June 20th. It looks very promising and I might sell MZ-RH1/M200 for it.
remy117
I think a better answer would be,is your source of music usually from CDs and MDs or from mp3?If the latter, it only makes sense to go X series walkman. In current technology mp3 players have gone along way in terms of quality (sampling rate dependent, ofc).I personally favor mds for their HQ and listening pleasure... plus the fact that I have a huge minidisc library of music, but nowadays with life getting busier, I find mp3s + itunes to be much more convenient. In the end, it's all about the convenience and pleasure tradeoff.hope this helps
Avrin
Is it marketing, or is it real?Pure marketing. It's just another hype name for a digital amp, probably not even of the HD class.
Sony_Fan
Pure marketing. It's just another hype name for a digital amp, probably not even of the HD class.I'm not convinced the RH1/M200 has an HD digital amp either. When my $20 NetMD unit, puts out more bass and better sound quality @132kbps, it's obvious which one has the better amplifier. The new touchscreen Sony MP3 player comes out tomorrow! I want to check it out at the stores.
Guest Gray Rider
With the X series you'll also be paying for the video playback, so it's less for the sound... whereas with md it's all sound. I would assume that the s-master is not quite a 'HD' amp, just a normal one. I'm happy with my RH1 and don't think I'll be buying the mp3 player even though it can carry more uncompressed WAV files, instead I'll be buying more Hi-md discs. I will convert to mp3 players eventually but not just yet. I have 3 RH1s and 2 NH1s and they do sound better than D-NE20 to me.
