fukuda
A Hi-MD disc is not recognized by SonicStage 4.3. After a while trying to read/mount it, an error message appears and clicking OK closes SonicStage. This disc has been used one time. The same minidisc put in a RH1 or RH910 is not recognized an the apparatus shows a message indicating "Audio File Error" and then "Access Error".When I Try to record something with a mike the recording seems to begin and a few seconds after a message "Rec Error" appears. The recorders work fine with other MDs.Sometimes the screen shows a blinking message "Writing System Files" and after a while the recorder shuts off.I cannot initilize this disc as it is not recognized by SonicStage. Is it good for the bin... or has anyone an idea to "save" it ?Many thanks in advance for your help. sfbp
Question: have you tried another 1GB disk? It may be that the unit is not recognising it as HiMD somehow (not sure how, but there is a sensor or microswitch that looks at holes in the bottom of the disk to see what sort of disk it is - there is one hole that is quite different between HiMD and Std 80m MD, presumably this one). kino170878
Sometimes if you do an editing operation while the MD unit is connecting to the PC then I think Sonicstage can corrupt the disc. But I think you should still be able to erase it....strange

This disc is a quite brand new one. Blue Hi-MD by Sony.Sometimes if you do an editing operation while the MD unit is connecting to the PC then I think Sonicstage can corrupt the disc.
