I have tried several minidiscs that work on my main hi-fi so i know they work okay. I have tried a compressed air canister to blow out any dust but no joy. Any help is much appreciated. Are you sure the battery is correctly (fully) charged? Try removing the battery and running on (only) the charger. The manual says you can do that.
