I have uninstalled it. deleted the registry entries, and re-installed an older version (3.1) and still get the same problem! DAMN YOU TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL OMGJBOX.EXE!

Some questions for you:

- Is this problem only happening when you are trying to import?

- Can you use SS and is it just when importing that you get errors?

- Will tracks play?

- Can you acess your DAP? Can you play your files from your DAP?

- Probably won't matter, but update your computer with Windows Update. Could work out.

Have you done a google search for 'OMGJBOX.exe import' error ?

Hey, pal!

I had the same problem - upon importing folders SS crashed after saying that omgjbox has done smth wrong. What I did - I just installed SP2 for my XP Home edition. And after that - everything runs smoothly.

Try and maybe it'l help you.

Cheers

Hi,

From Sony's support site:

When I run SonicStage, the following error message appears (Microsoft Windows XP): Omgjbox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Please check the following:

Make sure that you are using a computer with an account that has the administrator rights.

Make sure that you have downloaded the latest SonicStage version available from the download section of our website.

Make sure that you have updated your computer and your operating system with the latest updates. Please contact the manufacturer of your computer / operating system.

Make sure that your computer is free from spyware: for more information, please visit the Microsoft security website.

Disable DEP settings:

Click Start, right click My Computer, and then click Properties.

On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance.

On the Data Execution Prevention tab, select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select, and click Add.

In the Open box, browse to the C:\Windows folder, double click Explorer, click OK, and then click OK.

Don´t ask me why, sure it has to do with some awful programming, but it worked for me

This thing gets really funny)) Sorry pal but that's the truth. No one knows how to cope with this error. I believe neither does Sony. But Im pretty shure that this is just SS software and it has nothing to do with ur player. You can try what was already said about DEP settings or SP 2. Maybe this can help. I guess the best thing you can do is write a letter to the support team.

I also have this problem. But it occurs only when I'm importing many tracks (something like 3-5 albums). When this number is less - everything goes smoothly. Try.. may help.

Cheers
