No case is provided to keep phones .2.) Not good for listening Disco or even Pop or Rock .3.) For $60-70 they are not very immpresive .4.) .Length of the cord is ok ,1m.5.) .Sound is very Tiny even at high Volumes 6.) Shlight Hiss is listenable with CX300 which quite irritatingON 1 to 10 scale, I will only give 5 points .Those who like less Bass will like these phones

Richard_p
Havn't posted in a while...Still toying with the idea of buying a pair of these. The pictorial and review is very much appreciated, ny sound is tiny even at hogh volujmes do you mean tinny? or just quiet (i find this to be the case with my EX81)?Still don't think i'll be parting with my cash anytime soon for a pair of these. (partly because i have very little atm)

(partly because i have very little atm)Yeah ,Even if you compare these with E805 or E808..You can listen these at volume 13 but with Cx300 i neeed to rasie the vol to 20 ..I you really want to buy these then rather go for Ex90 . bogon07
Stuge is it possible that you may have a defective pair of CX300 ?I just rec'd mine on Friday from Wicked Digital. Straight out of the box they are noticably louder than EX51 & NX1 by 3-5 on the volume setting for A1000 or N407. The sound has is clearer with more bass definition & pressance than the Sonys. The Sony's bass is "boomier" compared to their more neutral sound. This is with a medium size ear pad.It will be interesting to see how they age. xispe
6.) Shlight Hiss is listenable with CX300 which quite irritatingStuge, I think that this time you found the sony hdd players hiss Remember that previous thread.Check when that hiss is listenable, with the device playing and volume in the minimum. Then try to pause the device, and you'll shall hear no hiss.
bogon07
When I was comparing the CX300 with EX51. I had to switch the small earpad on the EX51 to medium and it improved the bass sound in particular and the isolation. It is not quite as comfortable but more secure. Nevertheless the CX300 is still superior.
