linv5800 Posted June 29, 2010 Report Share Posted June 29, 2010 Hey all , glad i found this forum ! my problem is that the piece that ive attached has fallen out of my sony md909 and all i get now is a " disc error ". But befor that it would stop playing and recording at 24minutes into an sp recording or aroung the 24th tab when recorded in lp-the longest one , may not be lp . then this fell out and im not sure how or if i can fix it .. anyone know anything about this ? it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED ! sORRY THE PIC IS SO BIG AND YOU WILL have to center it to find the piece . thanks alot again ! sfbp Posted June 29, 2010 Report Share Posted June 29, 2010 I may be mistaken but that looks like the overwrite head assembly (minus the overwrite head itself). If so, you are dead in the water. You may be able to play things (as you probably already discovered) but the moment you try to press track mark or record (or do any writing with USB) you will lose the entire disk. Sorry.
