Guilo
Hi ! My Jog Dial is behaving the wrong way. When I go down , it goes down. But if I go down once more, it goes up on the device. In fact I can only select two items in any list of the minidisc. Any idea ? Thanks
sfbp
That one I can do. It's a setting under Option->JogDial. There are two choices, namely Default and Reverse. Clearly you desire "Default". Welcome to the forums! Stephen

Clearly you desire "Default". Welcome to the forums! Stephen Unfortunately it is not what I want. If I always go down with the Jog Dial on the screen it will go up once, down once, up once, alternating only two entries. I cannot select anything else. sfbp
You can try cleaning the contacts. You'll have to learn how to remove the casing.

Guilo
I have disassembled my unit with the service manual. I have found the jog dial and have tried to clean the contacts. I have rebuilt the unit but now the jog dial doesn't work at all for scrolling (click still works). Does anybody know where I can fond a replacement item ? Thanks EDIT : back to the problem after a few tries. Here is the sequence shown by the key test mode if I always go down : JOG-1 JOG+1 JOG-2 JOG+2 JOG-3 JOG+3 JOG-OK JOG+OK if it can help... sfbp
Quick question: does it make any difference what power source you use? If the problems do NOT occur when you are plugged into a 3V adapter, that tells us a lot, I think. Stephen BTW don't even think about resetting. You will lose all the calibration and the unit will be completely useless without a visit to someone with a Laser power meter and a calibrated power supply. Guilo
It does not depend on the power source. Ok, I will not try to reset then !
