Tracks skipping on NW-HD1

Hello everyone,

I have noticed that CDs that I have recently ripped to my NW-HD1 (64 kbps) have skips in virtually every track. This has occurred with about a dozen CDs over the past two weeks. I have ripped them on two or three occasions, but with the same annoying result. When I play other tracks from previously ripped CDs, they are fine (no skips). I am using SS 3.4. Would the upgrade to version 4.0 help matters? Might this be a hardware issue?

I will recommened you to try SonicStage CP 4 .

You could try enable CD smoothing (in Tools>Options>CD Drive settings>CD importing. The downside of that is that it takes longer to import.

Oh, and definitely upgrade to SonicStage CP 4. I have, and had no troubles with it at all. Still getting used to the purple-ness after a year of blue-ness . . .

I upgraded to SS 4.0, which appears to have fixed the problem. No more skips in those tracks!

I actually don't mind the purple over the blue...

*laughs* Blue's my favourite colour though! So it was quite a shock for me to see that it had turned purple.

i had the same problem with NW-HD3.

i eventually noticed that the tracks that skipped were the ATRAC ones. it didn't seem to matter what bitrate i used either.

however, anything transferred as an MP3 was fine. so, once again, a whole bunch of music had to come off and go back on again.

if i were to upgrade to SS 4.0 would i have to re-initialize my player? it would only be the third time this year...

It is not nessasary, but it can ask you to reinitialze your player .

NOTE :Please Update your Previous version from where you last installed the SonicStage ,otherwise it may ask you to initialize the device.

Hi!

I have a similar problem with my NW-A1000. I'm using SS v.4 but it keeps skipping tracks when I want to transfer them to my player. Though I wan't to transfer them from my PC, it says an error that the transfers are not allowed

Maybe someone could help me plz. Thanks.

Sry I think I found the problem. Does anyone know how to take off the protection from a .wma file?

I noticed that the other songs(the ones that I can transfer) are not protected.

protected wma are not supported by SS, CP or the new a series.
