MZ-NF810 radio problem

Hi all,

I got an MZ-NF810 unit and I really like it. The only one problem is, that the radio won't turn on. Among all attempts it comes up about 5-10% only. If press the radio button on the remote (after all messages cleared on the display as per the user manual, battery fully charged) the main unit clicks once and I hear some very low volume hiss from the headphones. After 10 secs the unit clicks again and after 10 sec again. That goes on a few times and that's it. When it works, the radio comes on immediately.

Has anybody came across anything like that?

Thank you

Yup.

I have one word for you - contacts.

Clean them if you can. Try using Alkaline cells rather than rechargeable batteries to see if that makes a difference.

If you are still stuck, buy a NEW RM-MC37LT (last one I saw on Ebay was $14) and hope for the best.

Happy New Year

Stephen

I use the Ni-Mh battery inside the main unit.

Will clean contacts and come back.

Thank you

Eventually the radio remotes go. I went through three on my MZ-NF610. Didn't have the 800 long enough for it to go bad.
