herky10
Hi Folks, I recently purchased a used JBS-940 off e-bay, and while it plays my recorded discs beautifully, on digital recordings (both optical and co-axial), it clips the first few fractions of a second from each track. Analogue recordings are fine. Any thoughts? Thanks.
sfbp
Digital connections take some setup time. Does this happen when you put it into record-pause mode with the digital signal in connected?**** To avoid losing the beginning of recordings, you can start them by pressing the (circular) AMS knob. This will dump the 6-second buffer to MD. At that point fractions of a second become irrelevant no matter how they are caused. Hope this helps. **** if you have it busy recording but don't turn the digital signal on until the last moment, then this will never work. You will always lose the digital setup time, just as you describe.
