Hi guys....I was wondering if someone here can help me.I'm at my wits end here with Sonicstage.I first had SS 3.4 but decided to change to SS CP 4.0 and here where my problem started.I installed SS 4.0 and noticed that it wouldn't play certain mp3 files like one in every 10 tracks so I decided to Uninstall SS 4.0 and go back to V3.4....I uninstalled everything and reinstalled V 3.4.....Now SS V3.4 or V4.0 will not play any of mp3 files even when ripped by Sonicstage itself....only Atrac and Wav and my NH1 & HD5....The problem is that my music is in mp3....also when I was installing both SS 3.4 and 4.0 when I went to import my music files I get an error saying that it doesn't regconise the format yet before I changed anything it played mp3 files no problems yet now it won't....I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything about a 100 times and it's really starting to Piss me off....so much that I nearly bought an iPod yesterday......Why can't Sony just create troublesome software....oh and before someone says Reformat your hard drive I'm not going to do that.....Please I hope that ye can help me and save me from this torment...............Thanks.................... wacko.gif

Strange ,But did you install any codec or something ??

Not that I can remember....All my mp3´s work without any problems in Winamp and WMP 11....Sonicstage 2.1 will only play 2 tracks of mp3´s out of 4,000 but none of the later versions 3.3,3.4 or 4.0 will regconise or play mp3´s.Is there a specific codec that Sonicstage needs to use and where can I find it....because doing a clean uninstall and a re-install of any of the Versions of Sonicstage will play mp3 files....in fact when I install Sonicstage and it asks to import a folder of my music it says that it doesn´t reconise the file format.....this is very frustrating....How can I find out if I´ve installed a strange codec that is preventing Sonicstage from playing mp3 files....Cheers...............
