Linear PCM transfer, am I missing something?

Hi, gurus )

I owned RH1 for about couple of years using only compressed formats and everything worked fine.

Now I have to use PCM and with SonicStage 4.3.01.14050 I can not transfer it to wav (I'm on

- After general transfer "Convert to Wav" doesn't work ("Cannot save in WAV format")

- "Convert format" that I usually used for removing copyright protection doesn't have uncompressed destination, so it's not an option

- After I checked "Save in Wav format when importing" in the option, the transfer stops immediately with "untitled" error.

So it there something wrong with my software or I should go some other way?

Thanks a lot

Check your WAV destination exists and is writeable. Is this a silly Windows UAC problem?

Thanks for your reply, sfbp, I changed previously it other destination (the hard disk with FAT32, the folder E:\MDWavs and it exists). The system is Windows XP so no UAC present

I think UAC got retrofitted in XP/SP3 but I might be wrong. It should work.

Let me ask you this: can the PCM be written to ANOTHER HiMD? Can you PLAY the PCM a. from within SonicStage b. using Windows Media Player?

Also there's a temporary files location that may be somewhere you don't have permission for.

And one more idea: try running the File Conversion Tool on your entire DB.

Thanks, ironically that helped because this was the only SonicStage-related software that promptly said that I had not enough space on the drive with the system. "Can not convert" and "untitled" in the main software meant the same, but in some different language :)

Thank you!
