Tom in RI
Today I have been trying to copy a cdr to minidsic using an optical cable from my cd player. I am following the directions but once I start the cd I get the message NoCopy on the minidisc unit. Any suggestions?
Tom in RI
Closer examination of the manual indicates that NoCOPY denotes an SCMS issue. The source cd I am trying to record is from live recordings shared over a Bittorent site that I downloaded and converted from FLAC to WAV and then burned to cd. Is there any work around for this? sfbp
Computer sound cards generally don't send out SCMS (or allow you to turn it off). You can play the WAV files back, I should think. It might also be something to do with the settings in whatever software you used to make the CD. Nero allows you (and may even default) to setting the copyprotect bit. But I'm sure you can find a way to turn it off.
Tom in RI
Well, I re-ripped and burned a new cd and was able to synch that one. Not sure why the 1st one was copy protected.
