Carnster
Hello Guys and girls.Sorry that my first post is a negative one, but hopefully some kind soul can turn it into a positive one for me. here's my problem...I recently purchased an NWA3000. I upgraded the firmware to V3.0 and installed Sonicstage 4.0 CP. My unit worked perfectly for a couple of weeks until this morning. Even though I have not added, removed, changed or in fact done anything with my pc, software or hardware in general, Sonicstage decided that it didn't want to recognise that my NWA3000 was connected. I checked my PC and it recognises the Walkman just fine. The player just kinda hangs in a permanent state of trying to connect. I've trawled the internet in hope of trying to find a solution. Is it my pc? The software? or the player? The Sony FAQ site said that if my pc recognises the device, but Sonicstage doesn't it is probably because my pc formatted the player (?) and all I need to do is re-initialise the player. Which I did (Losing everything I put on it) but it didn't solve my problem. It still doesn't recognise that the now blank player is connected. Aaaaaaargh! I removed Sonicstage and re-installed it but still no luck.I really am out of ideas. I'll try Sony at some point but are well aware of how awful they can be with customer support. I'm hoping that someone here could point me in the right direction?Cheers and here's hoping...

Sorry to hear your troubles.I wish I could help you out, but it sounds as though you've done all your trouble-shooting.It is odd though isn't it??...No changes had been made, though at some point the unit/software decide to crap out . . . dragulagu
yea, have that kind of problem too, less bad, mine will not be recogised sometimes by cs 4, after 2 or 3 reconnects of my player it does.
markd
HiHad same prolem. For me it was due to the A3000 charging via the USB on the PC. CCCP did not recognise it for ages and locked up while waiting. Also see my earlier post. Sometimes you have to use the drop down selection at the top to pick the player. So make sure its fully charged up and try again.
Carnster
Thanks for the advice guys. After a lot of tinkering I solved the problem.I did a full un-install of SS, deleted all the files left behind and changed the names of the dll files that it wouldn't let me delete so they became unusable/un-recognised. I re-installed SS and it all worked fine. I'm presuming there must have been a corrupt dll file or something associated with the dll file that was stopping connection.Either way it solved my problem, and hopefully might help someone else if this strange problem occurs for them. Thanks again for the input.
