z-iron
OK the only music player I've got is an HD5.. and I'm wondering if upgrading to a newer model would make any sense? I'm up for minidisc options as well. Any help appreciated! It doesn't have to be a Sony model either, if there's a good one out there. Christopher
What's your budget? What do you find lacking on the HD5?
z-iron
Nothing ridiculously expensive (not over $300 CAD) decent battery life, and fairly small. Actually, any suggestions about good flash players would be nice, since I don't want to go running with the HD5... preferrably 2 GB or higher. JSP62
Nothing ridiculously expensive (not over $300 CAD) decent battery life, and fairly small. Actually, any suggestions about good flash players would be nice, since I don't want to go running with the HD5... preferrably 2 GB or higher.- I use my MD player for work outs. It's versitile, durable and very cheap.- For being out and about I use my Sony VP DAP player. The VP has a color LCD and a enough space for your whole library @ 40GB. I have 36GBs used and thats practically my whole library of music of ALBUMS alone. Cost for me to get this was $150. I had to purchase a new battery @ $50, because I bought used and the battery was practically dead. With the new battery my DAP lasts 2 days without charging with moderate use. z-iron
But doesn't those minidisc players have moving parts? I thought it wasn't good to be running around with those...
JSP62
But doesn't those minidisc players have moving parts? I thought it wasn't good to be running around with those...Nah, the things are great, especially the older ones. Those were the ones that use to be in anodized aluminum cases. Like I said they are really durable. When I say cheap,I mean cheap!, I have had about a dozen of them and sold them all. You can find them as cheap as $30 with lots of accessories - MDs, case, pouch. You'll be very satisfied if you get one. Ref the link for ALL modelsAll you want to know about a model and options can be found here.Good luck
mercury_in_flames
I aggree. Md units are brilliant when it comes to anti shock. I personally have only found my hd5 stop to protect the hdd when riding my bike, jumpimg on and off pavements and stuff. Otherwise i dont think if u had it attatched to an arm strap, it wud have any problems.
