Ral-Clan
I've been trying to use the "Linux-Minidisc" software running on a Windows XP PC with my MZ-NE410 (NetMD) minidisc walkman. I can't seem to get it to recognize the walkman when it's connected to the computer. This walkman works fine with Sony SoundStage software and SimpleBurner. Is the Linux-Minidisc software ready for use with non-Hi-MD devices (like my NetMD portable)? Or is it only ready for use with Hi-MD portables at the moment? The chart showing functionality seems to indicate it can transfer SP/LP/EP tracks to and from NetMD portables. https://wiki.physik....doku.php#status It mentions something about using "libnetmd" but when I go to the linked page I get a gnuzip archive that just seems to be a bunch of source code files. I don't know how to use it with the Linux-Minidisc software. Is anyone having success?
sfbp
You cannot use QHiMDTransfer to transfer non-HiMD files. It will be renamed QMDMusicTransfer (or QMusicMDTransfer, I don't remember which), as soon as that functionality is merged into the main program. There is the capability but it exists (for you at any rate) as a bunch of python scripts which are, at best, somewhat cumbersome. Libnetmd has not yet been integrated.
