condor655
Hi - I picked up a Sony MDX-100 car MD head unit. Can anyone help me identify the part number for the Fascia Surround Trim? Or help me find out where to get it? Thank You.
sfbp
Try installer.com for all such parts, would be my recommendation.
bluecrab
Try here: http://www.partstore.com/Model/Sony/Sony/MDX100.aspx I just special-ordered the sub-panel for an MDX-C5970 from them.
sfbp
Try here: http://www.partstore...ony/MDX100.aspx I just special-ordered the sub-panel for an MDX-C5970 from them. But.... I think the trim required will be specific to the car? So it's more like a "Sony" fascia kit for brand X of automobile. Unless I misunderstood OP. However most Sony units (but not all) are essentially what is called ISO (or single-DIN) which is a standard size, and to get your MDX-100 you have to get the right piece of plastic that fits the car you own. For example to get the MDX--CA790X into my wife's Toyota, I ordered this: http://www.installer.com/item/display_item.php?it=TA2045B The other thing needed (maybe I am preaching to the choir already) is a so-called wiring harness, for example: http://www.installer.com/item/display_item.php?it=70-1761. However if the unit already has plugs in it that end in wires, and there are bare wires in the car, you won't need that. I had to buy TWO wiring harnesses - one for the Toyota end, one for the Sony end, and then join the wires correctly between them. This avoided cutting up the harness on the factory-installed radio in case I want to put it back before reselling the car. Sorry if I am completely off base here. Maybe you and OP know something specific that I do not. Stephen
